We
Are Free
John 8:36
John 8:36
“So if the Son sets you free, you are free
indeed”
Reading this message today
is not by accident and is not by error. This message is an awaking revival of
your mind, spirit, soul, and body and to let you know that you are no more in
any bondage of Satan or so called Devil. The son of God “Jesus Christ” has set
you and I free from the bondage attacked of the enemies. And Whoever Jesus Christ set free is free
indeed. One thing is to be set free by God, and another thing is to understand
that you are no more under the bondage or attack of the enemy. Jesus Christ
came to give all those that believe abundant blessing according to John 10:10 “I am come that they might have life, and that they
might have it more abundantly.” The
plans of God supersede Satan’s plan for our life. Jesus came to give abundant, immeasurable
blessing and unmerited favor.
One
important thing that kept children of God in slavery is sins. Once you renounce
your sins and stayed away totally from sin you will enjoy the freedom that
Jesus has promised the believers. Galatians 5:1 says
“For
freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again
to a yoke of slavery.” Sin is slavery.
Satan use sin to cover Christians face from knowing the truth. Jesus Christ is the truth, the way, the light
that has set us free from the bondage of the enemies. Anyone living without
Christ in his or her life will remain in darkness and remain in slavery of the
enemies. John 8:32 “And you will know the
truth, and the truth will set you free.” Knowing Jesus is the truth that
enemies don’t want you to know at all because you will gain access to total freedom
that money cannot buy.
To be free means you must be born again. You must surrender to our Lord
Jesus Christ. In John 3:1-8, There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus,
a ruler of the Jews who came to Jesus in the hour of the night to find out how
is Jesus doing miracles. In verse 3 “Jesus answered and said
unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he
cannot see the kingdom of God.” To be born again means absolute freedom. In
verse 4 Nicodemus further asked Jesus “How can one be born again? Jesus
responded in verses 5and 6 “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the
kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of
the Spirit is spirit.”
According to Paul in Romans 8:1-4 “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who
are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in
Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law,
weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful
flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous
requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the
flesh but according to the Spirit. We
are enjoying the freedom today by grace of God, not that we are perfect or have
power on our own to do anything. Ephesians chapter 2:8 says “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And
this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God” Many people in the Bible
names were recorded in the Hall of Fame in Hebrew Chapter eleven, by faith our
names can also be writing in the book of
life by God if we have faith in God and refuse to learn on our own
understanding.
Saul before he became
Paul had an encounter with Jesus Christ on his way to Damascus to crucify
Christians in Acts chapter 9:1-19. This encounter led Paul to his word in
Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live,
but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by
faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” When you allow
Jesus to lives in you by faith God freedom will envelope your life, fear will
disappear; oppressors will remove their hands from your life and family life.
Jesus paid the price of our freedom on the cross by so doing we are free
indeed. Children of God, is never too late to give your life to Jesus Christ so
that you can start to enjoy the blessing of God which supersedes human
understanding and be free once and for all. Jesus yoke is easy according to
Matthew 11:30 “For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Living free is
good but we must utilize our God given freedom judiciously 1 Peter 2:16 “Live
as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but
living as servants of God.”
